Aella Potestades is the co-executive director of Angat Bayi, a non-profit that supports and champions women leadership in government. In this thought-provoking episode, she shares the personal experiences that shaped her advocacy, the challenges of achieving true gender equality in a patriarchal society, and the importance of women’s participation in decision-making and nation-building.

Rafaella Potestades is currently the Co-Executive Director for Programs of BAYI, Inc. and National Co-Convener of the Philippine Anti-Discrimination Alliance of Youth Leaders (PANTAY). She is part of various gender-transformative programs focused on women and LGBTQIA+ individual’s political participation, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and climate justice. She is also a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Women and Development Program at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
