Challenge

The country’s largest internet and mobile marketing summit sought to create engaging internet and mobile marketing content.

The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines held its 9th IMMAP Summit on September 10-11 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura, BGC. The two-day event gathered over 500 delegates for five plenary sessions on Day 1, and three parallel breakout sessions on Day 2.

Pushpin’s objective was to capture key insights from the speakers and bring them to life through visuals. We also sought to provide another touchpoint for audience engagement, both during the event and across social media. Finally, as is only natural given the nature of the event, we aimed to create engaging content that can be used for internet and mobile marketing purposes, post-event.

Solution

For the plenary sessions on Day 1, Pushpin created live visual summaries on large-scale 3 x 5-feet boards.

Armed only with a list of topics and speakers, we listened in and captured highlights, quotes, and key points, live and in real-time. As we finished the boards at the end of each session, they were brought out to the hallways so that audiences could take photos and selfies with them during breaks.

For Day 2, the large-scale visual summaries remained on display, allowing attendees to easily recap the previous day’s discussions and take commemmorative photos of the boards. Smaller venues for the three parallel breakout sessions meant we were unable to accommodate large boards. Instead, we created A4-sized visual summaries called sketchnotes that were then given to speakers as gratitude tokens after their talks. These sketchnotes, like the large boards, were photographed or scanned, and compiled into a souvenir PDF. All visuals were also made available on the event website and shared online via social media.
